Pamela Wildermuth began instructing private classes in 1974. She discontinued her classes when she moved to Bear Valley Springs in 2003, but resumed instruction in the form of 2 workshops each year - one in Spring and one in Fall. She also teaches privately upon request.
By popular demand, the Spring workshop is always held on the first weekend in May, so as to coincide with the Kentucky Derby with a fun break on Saturday afternoon to watch the "Run for the Roses." (Might want to bring a fun hat, and Pamela is learning how to make the perfect Mint Julep for 2016! May 6 - 9)
To keep things simple and allow for plenty of planning time, the Fall workshop is always held on the first weekend of October. So mark your calendars and reserve a spot!
The sessions began at 10 a.m. each day with a break for lunch, followed by an afternoon session that finished at 5 p.m. There are no limitations on subject matter or media, although Pamela's expertise lies with animal portraiture in oil or pencil. If you've got something you're working on and would like a little help or advice, or if you've never painted before, come on up and join us for a fun weekend.
Bear Valley Springs is a rural gated community with lots of equines and photo opportunities. There are several nice hotels in nearby Tehachapi (about 8 miles from Pamela's home), and a couple of wonderful wine tasting rooms - greatly enjoyed by participants. Lunch is not included in the workshop price, but usually ranges between $5 - $15, at the BVS club facilities.
No deposit is necessary, and please don't hesitate to ask questions.
The fee is $175.00 for all 4 days; or $50 for a single day - first weekend in May and October. Please call or email to reserve a spot.
